Somatic Wellness Workshop

Seeking a restorative space to reconnect with your body?

B.L.U. (Black Families Love & Unite) offers this monthly workshop as a sanctuary for families impacted by the so-called “child welfare system.” Together, we explore and practice what it means to deeply care for and listen to our bodies. Open to families who have been impacted by child welfare, this workshop provides a welcoming environment for reflection, healing, and embodied self-care. Join us each month to rest, recharge, and reconnect.

Empower. Educate. Advocate: Building Stronger Communities Together!

The Holistic Advocacy Intensives are interactive, advocacy trainings designed to demystify the child welfare system and build the power of communities, allies and co-conspirators to interrupt harm and support families. These sessions offer tools for advocacy, early defense, the truth about mandated reporting and reparative justice—and are grounded in the wisdom of those directly impacted.

B.L.U.’s Advocacy Intensives may allow you to earn CLE credits, while gaining hands-on training, deep insights, and practical tools in the perspective impacted parents.

Important note: We do not offer direct advocacy or any proceedings on your behalf.

We offer:

  • Open-access intensives for individuals, small teams, defender agencies
  • Contracted trainings for organizations (scaled by budget and staff)
